Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes effectively. Duties Operate various types of trucks including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Drive assigned routes in a timely manner while adhering to company policies and regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by law. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transport. Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Assist in the maintenance of the truck by reporting any mechanical issues or required repairs promptly. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for vehicle type (e.g., tanker, flatbed). Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving principles. Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles and tractor-trailers. Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo handling. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. Excellent time management skills with a commitment to punctuality and reliability. Previous experience with refrigerated trailers or specialized hauling is a plus but not mandatory.
