Job Overview Are you ready to hit the open roads and take on an exciting driving adventure? We're seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and specialized trailers, across OTR routes Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or safety concerns Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, including hours of service rules and safety protocols Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and freight transportation Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation equipment Strong knowledge of logistics cargo handling, load & unload procedures, and truck loading/unloading techniques Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Understanding of hazardous materials regulations and safe handling practices for dangerous goods Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with route driving preferred Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT standards for commercial drivers Embark on a career that combines adventure with professionalism!
