We are a 3PL provider of international transportation services, including freight forwarding, assembly and contract packaging services, warehousing, procurement and distribution. Our clients include many "Fortune 500" companies. About Us WIT Logistics, LLC is responsible for providing inbound-to-plant logistics services for Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant. The CDL-Driver is responsible for but not limited to, transporting shipments of loaded material requested by the customer from WIT Logistics, LLC to the customer RMEP, safely and securely. Responsibilities Ensure all shipments arrive to the customer in a safe and timely manner. Understand and adhere to all shipment schedules Performs routine safety travel inspections prior to each shipment; brakes, steering, wheels, lights, horn and mirrors daily. Abide by all safety policies, requirements and protocols of AEL-transportation. Verify equipment/work tools are performing in optimal conditions during each delivery trip. Ensures all needed straps and bars are installed safely and securely each delivery trip. Maintain pertinent documents each load to provide back to the shipping admin for AEL records. Proactively communicate and escalate any issues and/or discrepancies that could potentially have minor or major impacts to the customer/production. Any other duties assigned by management. Qualifications Self-directed. Effective communication skills, both written and verbally. Exhibits excellent time management. Ability to obtain knowledge of WIT Logistic's CDL-driver policies Education High School Diploma, or GED, or equivalent combination of education is required. Must be able to drive a manual and automatic transmission tractor. Must hold an active CDL-license, Class A, Class B or Class C with a clean driving record. Similar experience with repetitive short distance driving. Knowledgeable of local transportation laws under CDL.
