Job Description

Jet / Vac Truck Operator (Crew Lead) Full‑Time In‑Person Hydro Clear Services Strong hourly pay with consistent overtime opportunities Job Summary The Jet/Vac Truck Operator is responsible for the safe collection, transport, and disposal of water, wastewater, sludge, and other non‑hazardous materials. This position also functions as the on‑site crew lead , ensuring that field tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to Hydro Clear's standards. Key Responsibilities Operate jet trucks, vac trucks, and related pumping/jetting equipment. Serve as the crew lead on job sites , directing daily activities and ensuring safe, coordinated workflow. Safely load and unload materials using hoses, pumps, valves, and fittings. Perform line jetting, lift‑station cleaning, tank cleaning, and hydrovac/jetting tasks. Complete manifests, logs, disposal tickets, and job paperwork accurately and on time. Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; report mechanical issues promptly. Maintain clean equipment, hoses, and work areas. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and disposal sites. Follow all DOT, company, and site‑specific safety procedures. Participate in emergency call‑outs when required (rotation basis). Requirements Valid CDL (Class A or B) Experience operating vac trucks, jet trucks, or liquid‑handling equipment . Demonstrated ability to lead crew members and manage jobsite workflow. Ability to lift 50+ lbs, drag hoses, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions. Clean driving record and ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening. Mechanical aptitude for pumps, hoses, valves, and basic troubleshooting. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights/weekends when necessary. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
