Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Bobtail Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will operate a bobtail truck— a commercial vehicle without a trailer— to transport propane efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, shuttle driving, and delivery operations will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. If you thrive on moving goods, maintaining safety standards, and delivering exceptional service, this role is perfect for you! Responsibilities Safely operate a bobtail truck. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle's mechanical systems, brakes, lights, and tires to ensure optimal operation. Follow designated routes accurately while maintaining communication with dispatchers for updates or route adjustments. Assist with yard jockey duties by repositioning trucks within the yard as needed to optimize logistics flow. Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Propane delivery experience preferred but not required. Will train new driver who meets minimum qualifications. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL license required with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles such as tanker trucks. Strong communication skills for clear coordination with dispatchers and clients.
