Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Florida (or eligibility) Proven experience in an outpatient or acute hospital setting, focused on therapy services Comprehensive understanding of clinical reasoning, patient evaluation, and treatment plan development Strong documentation, assessment, and goal-writing skills using industry-approved formats Adherence to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and relevant regulations Commitment to professional development through continuing education and active involvement in professional organizations Demonstrated dedication to maintaining patient and employee safety
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations; develop and modify individualized treatment plans under physician guidance Delegate and direct therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring high-quality, function-focused outcomes Serve as a resource and educator for patients, families, colleagues, and students Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational, state, and federal standards Promote a culture of safety in all aspects of clinical care and workplace practices (e.g., safe patient handling, infectious disease protocols) Support clinic standards for appearance, attendance, and punctuality Participate in performance improvement initiatives and regularly seek feedback Mentor students, contributing to their learning experience in a positive environment
