Workday Talent - Product Owner /
Lead Consultant Location:
Arvin, California Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Workday Talent Product Owner / Lead Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday Talent Management solutions. This role will partner closely with HR leadership and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient talent processes across Talent, Performance, Succession, and Learning modules. The ideal candidate will possess strong Workday functional expertise, consulting experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the configuration, enhancement, and ongoing support of Workday Talent, Performance, Succession Planning, and Learning modules. Partner with HR leaders and stakeholders to understand organizational talent strategies and translate them into scalable Workday solutions. Manage and optimize Talent Review processes, Goal Management, Career Development, Competency Frameworks, and employee growth initiatives. Drive end-to-end implementation activities including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation. Support Workday bi-annual releases by evaluating new features, performing regression testing, and recommending adoption opportunities. Develop and maintain talent-related dashboards, scorecards, calculated fields, and advanced reports to support business decision-making. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely issue resolution. Ensure system configurations and talent processes align with HR policies, compliance requirements, and organizational standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with HRIS, IT, business leaders, and external partners to drive continuous process improvement. Provide functional guidance, best practices, and strategic recommendations related to Workday Talent Management capabilities. Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on Workday Talent Management experience. Strong expertise in Workday Talent, Performance, Succession, Learning, and Core HCM modules. Experience leading Workday implementations, enhancements, or transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of talent management processes, workforce development, and performance management best practices. Experience with Workday reporting, dashboards, calculated fields, and analytics. Proven ability to manage testing cycles, deployments, and release management activities. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting or enterprise environment. Preferred Qualifications Workday Certifications preferred, including: Talent Management Performance & Goals Learning Core HCM Prior experience in a Lead Consultant, Product Owner, or HRIS Lead capacity. Experience supporting enterprise-level HR transformation initiatives.
