Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical office , possess strong insurance knowledge, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position is essential to creating a positive patient experience while ensuring the efficient operation of our front office. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner. Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances while maintaining accurate financial records. Schedule new and follow-up appointments with attention to provider availability and patient needs. Answer multi-line phone systems and direct calls appropriately. Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Obtain insurance authorizations and verify benefits when required. Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff. Process referrals, medical records requests, and other front office documentation. Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a medical office required. Strong knowledge of medical insurance plans, eligibility verification, co-pays, deductibles, referrals, and prior authorizations. Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy healthcare environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical office training or certification is a plus.
