Act as initial point of contact for all visitors; greet, direct and assist visitor experience at museum Maintain the security and integrity of the Lobby, Store, Education, and Exhibit spaces by advising visitors of appropriate use and behavior. Ability to authoritatively act to discourage inappropriate behavior Maintain appearance and orderly environment of lobby and store areas. Perform minor custodial duties including dusting and glass cleaning Responsible for operating cash register system, daily accounting of cash receipts and securing cash deposits Assist with the general marketing activities of the museum Proficient in use of cash register systems Proficient in word processing programs and social media applications Be a people person with an out-going, cheerful, friendly personality that enjoys talking to and interacting with a diverse group of people; consistent in level of performance as the first and last point of contact with museum visitors; possess diplomatic demeanor when responding to public questions and behaviors Demonstrated ability to work regularly scheduled hours in a reliable and consistent manner; ability to work alone without other co-workers' present Possess a mature level of responsibility to independently and prudently act in the best interest of the Museum to protect exhibits and property; ensure visitor safety; and present a calm, positive, professional demeanor on behalf of the Suquamish Museum Knowledge of Suquamish Tribal history and culture Ability to interact with co-workers and business contacts in a professional and positive manner Ability to maintain appropriate professional appearance, demeanor, and language at all times Work Schedule includes weekends (Saturday and Sunday); position is one of two weekend employees and will be expected to work every weekend museum is open Public position that requires a professional level of personal appearance and appropriate business dress attire Public position that requires an above average tolerance to visitor idiosyncrasies and behaviors High School diploma or Equivalent Experience in customer service environment State and Tribal Background check Valid WA State Driver's License Pre-Employment Drug Testing Native American Tribal & Indian Preferences Random Drug Testing Suquamish Tribe Vaccine Requirements
