About the Role RJ Lawn & Landscape is hiring outdoor-focused, hands-on Team Members to join our Turf and Landscape Maintenance crews in Waukee. Whether you're drawn to running equipment and keeping properties freshly cut, or getting your hands in the dirt with beds, mulch, and plant care, we have a spot for you! During the interview process, we'll talk you through your strengths and interests to match you to the crew in either the Turf or Landscape Maintenance department, wherever you'll do your best work.

Turf Team Members:

operate riding mowers, string trimmers, and blowers to deliver clean, sharp-looking properties for residential and commercial customers.

Landscape Maintenance Team Members:

support bed maintenance, plant and shrub trimming, mulch replenishment, watering, and basic plant health monitoring.\ Both roles work under the direction of a Crew Leader as part of a route-based crew serving new and existing customers. What You'll Do Turf Team Member track: operating riding lawn mowers, string trimmers, and blowers safely and effectively - leave every property visually sharp before leaving the site.

Landscape Maintenance Team Member track:

perform bed maintenance, plant and shrub trimming, watering, mulch replenishment, and debris/trash removal - spot/report plant health issues such as: disease, pests, or water stress. Assist the Crew Leader in preparing for the workday and producing high-quality work on assigned routes. Follow Crew Leads direction on task assignments, standards, and site-specific instructions. Confirm properties are clear of obstacles before starting, and close and lock all gates before leaving each site. Service, clean, load, and secure tools, equipment, and the vehicle after each job, and help with monthly inventory. Report equipment issues, accidents, injuries, or property damage to your Crew Leader/Manager immediately. Support and uphold RJ Lawn & Landscape's safety procedures, policies, vision, and values.

Year-Round Employment:

performing snow removal duties during the winter season is required. What We're Looking For Valid Iowa driver's license. Ability to pass background check. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable operating outdoor power equipment safely (mowers, trimmers, blowers, or hand tools depending on crew). Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather, including winter snow removal shifts. Solid problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment. Clear communicator who can take direction and work well as part of a crew. 1 yr. experience preferred, not required. Why RJ Lawn & Landscape? Pay:
