RJ Lawn & Landscape is hiring a driven Turf Care Specialist to join our growing team! Based our of our Waukee Headquarters, you'll service premier sports turf clients across the Des Moines metro and surrounding communities, golf courses in the metro and throughout the State of Iowa, as well as commercial properties in the metro. What You'll Do Perform regular turf maintenance at commercial and residential sites Train mowing crew members on best mowing and maintenance practices Assist with turf disease and abiotic stressors on commercial and residential sites Operate a variety of turf care equipment (mowers, turf application equipment, specialized machinery) Work directly with clients on-site to ensure exceptional service and satisfaction Support general turf management and improvement projects Some occasional travel throughout Iowa may be required (expenses/logistics provided by RJ) Snow removal duties and winter equipment maintenance work What We're Looking For 1+ years of prior turf care experience strongly preferred (sports turf or golf course maintenance experience highly valued) Must hold a 3OT Applicator License Backflow certification and professional turf organization certifications (ex: ISFMA, Iowa GCSA) encouraged but not required Ability to operate heavy machinery like excavators and skid loaders A degree in turf management, horticulture, or related field experience encouraged Valid driver's license required ; driving record will be reviewed.
