A Lawn Care or Pesticide Technician provides lawn care that includes the application of chemicals to control weeds, insects or diseases. Works for lawn care companies that specialize in chemical treatments. Provides services for residential lawns or the grounds at a building or office park.
Apply fertilizers and weed control products (we'll train you on how to do it safely and correctly). Learn how to identify common lawn weeds, pests, and diseases. Operate spreaders, sprayers, and other equipment (again, full training provided). Talk with customers and provide friendly, helpful service. Keep detailed notes on products used and services performed. Work outside daily — getting plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and steps. Wage Range:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Starting wage is determined based on relevant experience. This is a hourly, non-exempt position.
