You will assist in the completion of projects safely, on time, and on budget. And you will be relied upon to help build and maintain an enthusiastic on-site team. We will mentor you on the construction process from site work to finish. We are seeking a Construction Superintendent Assistant to join our team of professionals in helping to create innovative and sustainable environments while building great relationships. SweisKloss is a full-service boutique design construct firm based in Santa Monica, California. The SweisKloss team specializes in residential and commercial design, interior design, and construction. SweisKloss is a firm that is supportive of its team members, the community and the environment.
Job Overview:
You will be responsible for the on-site management of multiple construction projects and on-site construction project teams through all phases of construction. You will facilitate the completion of projects safely, on time, and on budget. And you will be relied upon to build and mentor an enthusiastic on-site team and enjoy working on complicated and intricate design projects. Job Duties will be to assist the Project Manager and/or Superintendent with the following: Develop project schedule; maintain and update construction schedules for each project on a weekly basis Oversee and maintain jobsite safety requirements Coordinate and schedule all trades and deliveries Inspect trades' work as to adherence to design & drawings Inspect product deliveries for accuracy and damage Schedule and walk through of city inspections Document field construction progress using a web-based construction management system to maintain a daily log and submit written reports and photos on a weekly basis Create and manage the completion of the punch list to client's satisfaction Work with team though all technical and architectural aspects of projects Return all calls and emails within 24 hours Develop viable solutions to issues that arise and discuss with the project design team Study the drawings, understand the design intent and implement the fine details
Skills and Qualifications:
Construction industry experience preferred Experience with high end custom residential projects is preferred Ability to read drawings and specifications required Must have excellent organization skills and be self-motivated Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally Have experience working directly with clients, vendors, and design professional team members Have professional verbal and written communication skills in person, over the phone and via email and text
