In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure durable finishes that stand the test of time. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse renovation and new construction projects, utilizing your technical skills and eye for detail to make a lasting impact. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute painting plans and specifications. Perform specialty finishes including plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry to achieve precise aesthetic results. Conduct surface repairs like masonry work, restoration tasks, drywall patching, and concrete finishing to prepare surfaces for painting. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for each job. Work safely on construction sites by adhering to safety protocols while operating scaffolding, ladders, welding equipment, and other machinery. Assist with renovation projects involving framing carpentry, fixture installation, masonry work, or handyman tasks as needed. Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate progress with supervisors throughout each project. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Painter with a strong background in residential and commercial painting projects. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and airless paint spraying equipment. Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate finishes that meet client specifications. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics for precise project execution. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for material calculations. Experience with plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, restoration work, and masonry is highly desirable. Construction site experience including safety practices related to scaffolding, ladders, welding equipment, and general site maintenance. Strong understanding of renovation techniques such as remodeling or industrial painting projects. Additional handyman experience or skills in fixture installation can be an asset.
