In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality results across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise craftsmanship, safety adherence, and attention to detail. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and hand tools. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and color samples to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes. Conduct surface repairs such as drywall patching, plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed for renovation or restoration projects. Use ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering strictly to safety regulations and utilizing respiratory protection when necessary. Perform site preparation tasks including surface masking, sanding of drywall or plaster surfaces, and fixture installation prior to painting. Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and ensuring tools are well-maintained for optimal performance. Experience Proven experience in construction or renovation painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques. Familiarity with residential, commercial, industrial painting projects, including structural painting and coating applications. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), brushes, rollers, and safety equipment. Knowledge of color theory for accurate visual color comparison and matching. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for precise project execution. Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols such as respiratory protection and fall prevention measures. Additional handyman skills such as fixture installation, drywall repair, caulking, stucco work, masonry, remodeling, maintenance tasks, and basic math skills are highly valued.
