The Assistant Tasting Room Manager is a dynamic role that includes sales management, hospitality leadership, sales, marketing, and partnership development opportunities, all with the goal of building the Bricoleur brand and growing a successful company. The Assistant Tasting Room Manager helps oversee the Hospitality Ambassadors at Bricoleur Vineyards. They help assist in all aspects of the guest experience, including conducting tours of various sizes, hosting wine and food tastings, providing wine education, and completing retail sales of wine and gift items. The hospitality team also actively participates in special experiences, off-site consumer tastings, wine club activities, special events, and any other related tasks involving direct guest interaction

ESSENTIAL OPERATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ASSISTANT TASTING ROOM MANAGER

Possess strong leadership, communication, organizational, sales, and relationship-building skills while maintaining positive and professional relationships with co-workers, wine club members, and guests. Assist with the opening, closing, scheduling, sales, and management of daily hospitality operations within the tasting room, Pavilion, bocce ball area, and other outdoor locations, ensuring an exceptional overall estate experience for guests. Lead by example while training and supporting Hospitality Ambassadors to ensure memorable wine and food experiences for all Bricoleur Vineyards guests. Demonstrate strong multitasking and sales skills with the ability to work well under pressure and within tight timelines. Work closely with the Wine Club Manager and Hospitality Ambassadors to promote wine club memberships and process club sign-ups. Collaborate with the culinary team to optimize daily wine and food pairings, ensuring an outstanding guest experience. Work closely with the Brand and Marketing team to ensure all guest-facing materials remain current and aligned with brand standards. Develop and maintain local market and hospitality partnerships to help drive traffic and maximize tasting room and event capacity. Assist with designing and maintaining attractive and effective displays of wine and gift items in the tasting room, while ensuring adequate inventory of retail products, handouts, brochures, and winemaker notes. Ensure all guest areas remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready throughout the day, including the tasting room, restrooms, Pavilion, and outdoor public areas. Coordinate and assist the Events Team during winery events, ensuring proper staffing and smooth execution of all hospitality operations. Support Hospitality Ambassadors, the Events Manager, Marketing Team, and other departments with special projects as needed. Attend off-site tastings, winery dinners, and events as a representative of Bricoleur Vineyards. Work evenings as needed for onsite and offsite dinners, events, and hospitality experiences.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in planning daily activities and staff schedules for hospitality and tasting room employees to maximize productivity while delivering exceptional customer service utilizing TOCK and Shopify systems. Help lead the tasting room team in achieving weekly, monthly, and annual sales and budget goals while actively coaching team members to improve their wine knowledge, culinary knowledge, hospitality skills, and sales performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

College degree or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Minimum of five years of restaurant, winery, or tasting room experience. Minimum of three years of management experience within a winery, restaurant, or hospitality environment with similar responsibilities. Strong computer skills, including experience with TOCK, Shopify, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. TIPS and SERV Safe certifications preferred or required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in spoken and written English. Spanish proficiency is a plus.

POSITION DETAILS

This is a full-time, on-site position located at: Bricoleur Vineyards Schedule includes weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings. Standard days off are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
