Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with behavioral health challenges, providing support and implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed professional. This role is essential in fostering a positive environment for clients, particularly children, and individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Provide direct patient care to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being during sessions. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with families and other professionals to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed. Assist in conducting diagnostic evaluations to assess client needs and tailor interventions accordingly. Support clients in developing social skills and coping mechanisms through structured activities. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health practices. Requirements Experience in behavioral health or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with medical documentation processes and maintaining medical records. Previous experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education practices is a plus. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
