Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Title Manager to lead our title operations team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of real estate title processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Your expertise will facilitate smooth real estate transactions by managing title searches, reviews, and documentation while adhering to legal standards and underwriting guidelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence our company's growth through meticulous management of title records and related activities, all while delivering exceptional client service. Duties Lead and coordinate the review of title records, public records, legal descriptions, and easements to verify property ownership and encumbrances. Conduct comprehensive title searches using real estate transaction management software, GIS mapping software, and public record databases to gather accurate property information. Manage the review and analysis of title reports, title commitments, and title insurance policies to identify potential issues or discrepancies. Oversee the processing of title documentation including legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way (Right-of-way), and other real estate legalities. Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines during the title review process and facilitate resolution of any issues that arise during the underwriting or closing phases. Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, attorneys, and other stakeholders to communicate findings clearly and support smooth transaction closings. Supervise the use of mapping software for property boundary verification and ensure accurate depiction of property features in all documentation. Maintain detailed records of all title searches, reviews, and correspondence in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes. Strong knowledge of real estate law, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and property encumbrances. Experience with real estate transaction management software and GIS/mapping software to support research and mapping tasks. Expertise in conducting thorough title searches using public records and other sources; familiarity with title records management is essential. Ability to review complex real estate documentation accurately while adhering to underwriting guidelines. Excellent client communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented approach to assist clients throughout the transaction process. Knowledge of real estate closing management processes to ensure seamless completion of transactions from start to finish. Strong research skills for investigating public records, historical data, and existing titles to resolve discrepancies effectively.
