Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Project Superintendent to oversee Civil Construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive drainage, concrete, asphalt job site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role requires managing multiple teams, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Project Superintendent will serve as the primary on-site leader, coordinating all aspects of construction activities to ensure seamless project execution. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities. Experience in supervising drainage, asphalt, and concrete projects. Monitor project budgets, perform cost control measures, and assist with construction estimating as needed. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety policies across the site. Conduct regular quality control inspections to verify work meets specifications and standards. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and design teams to resolve issues promptly. Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, change orders, and daily reports. Supervise on-site teams, providing leadership, guidance, and performance evaluations. Experience Proven experience in construction with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role. Extensive construction site experience across various projects including concrete and asphalt road projects. Proven experience with heavy equipment. Demonstrated ability in managing budgets, contracts, and project estimating processes. Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety regulations in the construction industry. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques. Supervising experience with a track record of leading diverse teams effectively. Knowledge of management practices related to quality control and safety compliance is essential.
