This role is responsible for reviewing customer requirements, preparing accurate production times and cost estimates utilizing our Epicor software system to support efficient manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for precision tooling projects based on customer specifications, drawings, quotes, and order requirements.
- Follow up with customer RFQ
- Review customer orders and related documentation to determine materials, labor, machining time, and production requirements.
- Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to clarify project requirements and support accurate quoting.
- Evaluate tooling requirements for customers in the fastener, aerospace, and automotive industries.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, programming details, revisions, and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, programming efficiency, and workflow consistency.
Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
- Experience in cost estimating, CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or a related precision manufacturing role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, customer specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Knowledge of precision tooling, machining processes, materials, and production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prepare accurate estimates and documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience supporting fastener, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing environments is preferred.
