Front End Loader Operator Asphalt Plant Northstar Asphalt Inc North Canton, OH Job Details Full-time $20 - $26 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Front-end loaders Removing debris Contamination control Groundskeeping Loader operation Full Job Description Overview As a Loader Operator, you will be the backbone of our asphalt production. You will safely operate heavy front-end wheel loaders to move raw materials, manage stockpiles, and feed production bins. Your efficiency directly impacts our ability to keep our paving crews and customers moving without delay.
What You Will Do:
Feed Production Bins:
Safely and efficiently operate a large wheel loader to keep cold-feed hoppers filled with the correct aggregate types to match production demands.
Manage Stockpiles:
Organize, stack, and separate incoming aggregate materials (sand, gravel, stone, and RAP) to prevent contamination and material segregation.
Perform Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct mandatory daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Check fluids, grease components, monitor tires/brakes, and immediately report mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
Load Trucks:
Efficiently load customer and company dump trucks with raw materials or aggregates as needed.
Maintain Yard Safety:
Assist with general site housekeeping, dust control, and ground cleanup around the plant to ensure a safe workspace for everyone.
