Overview We are seeking a hands-on Electronics Technician to support the development of innovative smart building products. This role operates in an early- to mid-stage product development environment and partners closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support testing, prototyping, and iterative design efforts. The ideal candidate enjoys working at the bench, building and testing hardware, and collaborating with engineers to refine and validate new product designs. This is a highly interactive, lab-based role with a strong focus on execution and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
  • Execute electrical and electromechanical testing to support product development efforts
  • Conduct motor testing, including cycle and stall testing
  • Perform ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) testing and other standardized evaluations
  • Follow defined test procedures with clear pass/fail criteria
  • Build, modify, and rework hardware prototypes
  • Perform soldering and assembly of electronic components
  • Troubleshoot hardware, circuits, and test setups
  • Collaborate with engineers on design iteration
  • Document test results using Microsoft Office tools
  • Assist with light mechanical assembly and lab setup Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electronics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong hands-on experience with electronics testing and soldering
  • Fundamental understanding of electronics and circuit behavior
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and lab tools
  • Experience building test setups or mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to work independently in a lab environment
