Job Description

Chickering Elementary School is seeking Registered Behavior Technicians to work with students in grades K-5. RBTs implement ABA principles throughout the day and are expected to lead academic small groups, run discrete trial instruction sessions, support social and emotional skill-building, and provide inclusion support.

Data collection on student progress as well as behavioral support is also an extremely important aspect of this role.

RBT's will receive support and direction from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and special education staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection as instructed.
  • Behavioral support per student plans.
  • To supervise, nurture, and support students.
  • Facilitate classroom activities in support of students' academic, social/emotional, and behavioral learning needs.
  • Ensure inclusion services and accommodations are consistently provided to students per their disability related needs.
  • Implement and collect data for designated academic learning activities and positive behavior support plans.
  • Communicate with general education staff and special education staff regarding student progress.
  • Take initiative by collaborating and communicating with staff.
    Covering for educators as assigned by administration.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by administration.
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor-level coursework in the field of education or a related area.
  • Registered Behavior Technician course completed.
  • Experience supporting students using strategies for differentiated instruction.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to educational equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Understanding of child development and social-emotional needs
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Drive for continuous learning and improvement
Salary:

$29.00 per hour plus a $2,700 stipend ($1,000 additional stipend for candidates who hold a current DESE Educator License).
