Sales Engineer V Crane ChemPharma & Energy - 3.5 Jurupa Valley, CA Job Details Full-time $120,000 - $190,000 a year 1 hour ago Benefits Paid holidays Tuition reimbursement Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications OSHA (regulatory compliance area) Customer communication Occupational health expertise Microsoft Outlook Defect resolution root cause analysis Six Sigma manufacturing Safety regulations Spreadsheets Manufacturing Manufacturing company experience Excel data analysis Full Job Description Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to): Negotiate sales opportunities Create basic piping layouts and gather project details Manage projects from initiation through delivery Build and maintain strong customer relationships and loyalty Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Effective navigation of complex sales situations Practical engineering and design capabilities Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Industry knowledge and familiarity with technical systems. Logical reasoning and decision‑making skills Identify technical or operational challenges, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions Analyze customer needs to develop appropriate product designs Operate and understand relevant equipment and systems Adapt technology and equipment to meet customer requirements Perform basic structural or piping analysis (Bentley AutoPipe experience a plus) Evaluate costs, benefits, and impacts of potential actions Understand system behavior and how operating conditions affect results Identify performance indicators and determine required corrective actions Manage personal time and coordinate team activities Plan and track project expenditures Motivate, develop, and guide team members Secure and manage equipment, materials, and facilities needed for project success Key Attributes / Ideal Candidate Profile Strong technical curiosity and ability to understand complex applications and system requirements Professional communication skills across engineering, purchasing, maintenance, and executive levels Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple customer requests and opportunities Commercially minded with an understanding of balancing customer needs, technical fit, and profitability Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, trade shows, and business development activities Technology & Computer Skills Use databases to organize and report information Create and manipulate graphics Develop and deliver presentations Build and maintain spreadsheets with charts and data analysis Use measuring and drafting tools (laser tape measures, levels, drafting scales, templates, compasses, etc.) Essential Qualifications B.S. in Engineering or related field 2-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Strong written and verbal communication skills Understanding of OSHA and related safety regulations Effective problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills Preferred Qualifications Experience using OpEx/CBS tools Demonstrated success in facilitating operational changes Ability to interpret process and product specifications Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar standards Additional background in safety and industrial hygiene regulations This description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees within this classification. Salary Range:
$120,000 to $190,000. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Compensation packages also include comprehensive benefits, 401K contribution and match, Paid Time Off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement and more. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
