Job Description

Seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and day-to-day operation of a high-end hospitality facility. This position requires a well-rounded maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting skills, leadership experience, and the ability to maintain high standards of safety, appearance, and functionality throughout the property. Job Summary The Facilities Manager is responsible for the maintenance and preventative maintenance of building systems, equipment, and property. This role oversees repairs, coordinates outside contractors, manages maintenance priorities, and supervises assigned support staff. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of the property and identify maintenance or safety concerns. Diagnose and perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, fixtures, equipment, and building systems. Maintain and troubleshoot commercial equipment and mechanical systems. Perform minor carpentry, drywall, tile, grouting, painting, and general building repairs. Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for major building systems and equipment. Coordinate service, repairs, and projects with outside contractors and vendors. Obtain necessary parts, materials, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Maintain appropriate inventory of maintenance supplies and replacement parts. Monitor building systems and equipment for proper operation. Assist with facility improvement, renovation, and repair projects. Identify cost-saving opportunities related to maintenance, equipment, and facility operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Ensure applicable safety procedures and OSHA requirements are followed. Respond to urgent maintenance issues and facility emergencies as needed. Hire, train, supervise, and provide direction to applicable maintenance and support staff. Oversee assigned housekeeping and property-maintenance functions. Complete work orders and additional facility-related projects as assigned by management. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Five or more years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, engineering, or a related field. Previous supervisory or management experience required. Strong working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. HVAC experience strongly preferred. Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial equipment and building systems. Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building repairs. Experience with preventative maintenance programs. Working knowledge of power tools and maintenance equipment. Knowledge of applicable building codes and safety requirements. Vocational or technical training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or a related field preferred. Commercial pool or similar facility-equipment experience is a plus. Skills & Expectations Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs and projects. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Professional and service-oriented when interacting with staff, guests, vendors, and contractors. Ability to recognize potential safety hazards and take appropriate action. Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations. Physical Demands & Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling. Frequent repetitive motions. Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Regular exposure to mechanical equipment and varying indoor and outdoor conditions. May occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, elevated areas, extreme temperatures, or environments involving electrical and mechanical equipment.
