Resident Relocation & Grants Coordinator What the Job Is Elderly Housing Management, Inc. (EHM) is looking for a Resident Relocation & Grants Coordinator to help residents navigate relocation during affordable housing rehabilitation and redevelopment projects while also supporting the grant administration behind those projects. This is a hands-on role that combines resident communication, project coordination, relocation planning, and grant reporting . You will be a key point of contact between residents, property management, contractors, ownership, funding agencies, lenders, consultants, and other project partners. The right person for this position is organized, responsive, comfortable working with a lot of moving pieces, and able to work just as effectively with a resident who has questions about an upcoming move as with a funding agency requesting project documentation. This position includes travel to EHM properties throughout Connecticut and work in a combination of office, residential, meeting, and construction-site environments. What You Will Do Coordinate temporary and permanent resident relocations during rehabilitation and redevelopment projects. Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, answering questions and helping resolve concerns. Prepare resident notices, relocation schedules, meeting materials, and required documentation. Coordinate moves and other relocation logistics with residents, property staff, contractors, movers, and service providers. Maintain accurate records of resident contacts, relocation activity, and project progress. Track grant expenditures and assist with reimbursement requests, funding draws, and grant reports. Maintain compliance documentation and help keep project deadlines and reporting requirements on track. Build strong working relationships with residents, funding agencies, municipalities, contractors, consultants, and EHM teams. Requirements We're looking for someone who can manage detailed project work while also being patient, approachable, and responsive to residents.
You should be able to:
Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, coworkers, contractors, government agencies, and other project partners. Stay organized while coordinating multiple deadlines, residents, projects, and documentation requirements. Maintain accurate and detailed records. Prepare professional correspondence, reports, notices, and project documentation. Handle resident questions and concerns with professionalism, discretion, and good judgment. Work independently while collaborating with multiple departments and outside partners. Travel throughout Connecticut to EHM project sites. Work occasional evening or weekend hours when resident meetings or community events require it. Work comfortably in office, residential property, resident meeting, and construction-site environments. $29.00 - $31.33 per hour
