Solar Operations Coordinator Action Solar - 2.3 Lehi, UT Job Details Full-time From $60,000 a year 7 days ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Customer communication Teamwork Microsoft Outlook Spreadsheets Filing Executive administrative support Attention to detail Full Job Description Position Summary The Solar Operations Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Senior Vice President of Operations while assisting with the day-to-day execution of residential and commercial solar projects. This role is responsible for coordinating permitting, utility interconnection, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional operational tasks to ensure projects move efficiently through the installation and PTO process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift daily. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperational Support Provide direct administrative and operational support to the SVP of Operations. Assist in managing daily operational priorities and special projects. Track project milestones and follow up with internal departments to ensure deadlines are met. Prepare reports, dashboards, and operational metrics for leadership meetings. Coordinate meetings, agendas, action items, and follow-up tasks. Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and process improvements. Permitting Prepare and submit permit applications to AHJs. Monitor permit statuses and proactively follow up with municipalities. Coordinate permit revisions and corrections as required. Maintain permitting documentation and ensure project files remain accurate and complete. Communicate permit updates to Project Managers, Scheduling, and other stakeholders. Utility Interconnection Prepare and submit utility interconnection applications. Track applications from submission through Permission to Operate (PTO). Coordinate with utility companies to resolve deficiencies or requests for additional information. Maintain accurate records within company software systems. Assist customers and internal teams with interconnection-related questions. Project Coordination Support Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with:
Design & Engineering Customer Support Scheduling Inspections Assist with documentation needed for funding and project closeout. Ensure required documents are uploaded and organized within the project management system. Reporting & Administration Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Monitor project pipeline health and identify bottlenecks. Assist with KPI tracking and operational scorecards. Maintain accurate records in CRM and project management software. Support data cleanup and quality control initiatives. Additional Responsibilities Assist with utility incentive and rebate documentation. Support fleet, inventory, or vendor coordination as assigned. Participate in process improvement initiatives. Complete additional operational tasks assigned by the SVP of Operations. Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information. QualificationsRequired 2+ years of administrative, operations, project coordination, or solar industry experience. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills. Professional demeanor and positive attitude. Preferred Solar industry experience. Knowledge of permitting and utility interconnection processes. Experience with CRM or project management software (NetSuite, Salesforce, Monday.com, etc.). Familiarity with utility requirements and AHJ permitting. Experience working with Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, or similar solar platforms.
