The company operates temperature-controlled facilities across the country and provides customers with specialized transportation, warehousing, and distribution solutions. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Terminal Manager / Service Center Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy transportation terminal and temperature-controlled warehouse facility. Candidates must have previous management experience working in a temperature-controlled warehouse, refrigerated facility, cold storage operation, or similar temperature-sensitive transportation environment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong transportation, LTL, terminal, and warehouse operations experience. This individual will be responsible for overall terminal performance, freight and inventory control, employee leadership, safety, customer service, equipment, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage daily terminal and temperature-controlled warehouse operations, including receiving, freight handling, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Ensure proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive and refrigerated freight . Lead, train, schedule, and develop terminal and warehouse employees. Maintain appropriate staffing levels while monitoring productivity and overall team performance. Ensure freight is handled accurately, safely, and on schedule. Monitor freight movement, inventory, and warehouse accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Develop and maintain efficient operating procedures to improve productivity, service levels, and terminal performance. Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve operational, freight, or delivery-related issues. Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Conduct safety inspections and reinforce safety procedures and training. Oversee terminal and warehouse equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs. Monitor operational KPIs, including productivity, freight accuracy, service levels, safety, and overall terminal performance. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce inefficiencies, and strengthen overall operations. Work closely with other departments and company leadership to meet operational and customer expectations. Required Qualifications 5+ years of transportation, terminal, warehouse, distribution, or logistics management experience. Temperature-controlled warehousing experience is required. Experience managing operations involving refrigerated, cold storage, or other temperature-sensitive products/freight . Previous leadership experience in a terminal, service center, warehouse, or distribution environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, freight handling, inventory control, and transportation processes. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees. Strong knowledge of workplace safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment. Experience with warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, and operational technology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered .
