This position will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations related to ocean import containers, including coordinating container unloading, supervising warehouse labor, verifying cargo quantities and conditions, organizing warehouse workflow, and communicating with internal operations teams and third-party service providers. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple warehouse activities in a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the unloading of ocean import containers at the warehouse Supervise container unloading activities and ensure cargo is handled safely and efficiently Coordinate warehouse workers and unloading crews based on daily container schedules and workload Verify cargo quantities, pallet counts, carton counts, and cargo condition during unloading Report shortages, damages, overages, or other cargo discrepancies to the operations team Take photos and maintain proper records of cargo condition and unloading activities when necessary Monitor container arrival schedules and coordinate unloading times with drivers, warehouse staff, and operations teams Ensure containers are unloaded within the required timeframe to avoid detention, demurrage, or additional trucking charges Coordinate cargo receiving, staging, palletizing, labeling, sorting, and storage within the warehouse Maintain organized warehouse space and ensure cargo is placed in the correct designated locations Assist with inventory tracking and verify inbound and outbound cargo movements Coordinate with truck drivers for container drop-off, pickup, and empty container returns Communicate with freight forwarders, trucking companies, warehouse workers, and internal operations staff regarding shipment status Ensure warehouse operations follow company safety procedures and operational requirements Identify operational issues and assist with resolving warehouse or cargo-related problems Maintain accurate records of container unloading, warehouse activities, and cargo movements Perform other warehouse and logistics-related duties as assigned Qualifications Authorized to work legally in the U.S. Mandarin and English bilingual preferred Previous experience in warehouse operations, freight forwarding, ocean import, or logistics preferred Knowledge of ocean containers and warehouse operations is preferred Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to supervise and coordinate warehouse workers and third-party unloading crews Strong attention to detail when checking cargo quantities and conditions Ability to prioritize and handle multiple containers and warehouse tasks Strong problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a warehouse environment Basic computer skills, including email and shipment/inventory records Benefits Health Insurance We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
