Contract Job Duties:

Assists the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications accurately according to prescriptions. Measures, counts, and packages medications under proper guidelines and supervision. Maintains records of prescriptions, inventory, and patient information as required. Ensures proper labeling, packaging, and storage conditions for all medications. Monitors stock levels and reports shortages or expired medications to the pharmacist. Handles billing, insurance processing, and payment transactions in retail settings. Provides basic information to patients regarding medication usage, dosage, and storage (as directed by the pharmacist). Maintains cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace and equipment. Follows safety procedures and regulatory guidelines in handling pharmaceutical products. Assists in inventory audits and stock verification processes. Coordinates with suppliers for ordering medicines and pharmacy supplies. Helps manage patient queues and ensures timely service delivery.

Job Requirements:

3-5 years of experience as pharmacy technician CA pharmacy technician Certificate Prior experience working in a hospital and Compounding. Familiarity with pharmacy management software and billing/insurance processes. Good communication and customer service skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm SAL01

Pay:

$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
