6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Mon-Fri About the Role We are seeking a reliable, clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver safe, consistent, and patient-centered nursing care within a secure correctional healthcare environment in Calipatria, CA. This position is ideal for RNs who thrive in structured, fast-paced settings and want to make a meaningful impact in underserved and high-acuity populations. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, wound care, triage, documentation, care planning, and collaboration with custody and medical teams to maintain safety and continuity of care. This role offers a strong opportunity to advance skills in correctional, emergency, and behavioral health nursing. Requirements Active physical California RN license (hard copy required) Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in correctional, ER, ICU, med-surg, psych, or acute-care environments Current BLS certification from AHA only Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check and full correctional security clearance Strong assessment, communication, and de-escalation abilities Skills and Competencies High-level clinical judgment and rapid assessment skills Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations Strong triage capabilities and emergency-response readiness Effective communication with RNs, LVNs, mental health staff, and custody teams Knowledge of correctional protocols, safety standards, and infection control
