Swenson's Mobile Fleet Repair is a growing commercial vehicle and equipment repair company based in Martinez, California. What started as a mobile repair operation has expanded into a full-service shop, while still providing on-site and roadside support to fleet customers throughout the Bay Area. We specialize in servicing light- to medium-duty trucks and a wide range of commercial and construction equipment. Our work includes preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and compliance services such as DOT and BIT inspections. Our focus is on keeping our customers' fleets safe, compliant, and on the road with minimal downtime. As a customer-focused operation, we rely on strong communication and efficient coordination between our office staff, technicians and clients. Our Service Advisors play a critical role in this process—acting as the primary point of contact, helping customers understand their service needs, coordinating repairs, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience from start to finish. We are committed to delivering dependable, high-quality service and building long-term relationships with the businesses we support. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for maintenance and repairs. Your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will help you accurately assess vehicle needs, communicate effectively with customers, and ensure a smooth flow of service operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical understanding with exceptional customer service, contributing to a positive experience that keeps clients coming back. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed service estimates using auto estimating software, clearly explaining recommended repairs and maintenance procedures Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, transmission repairs, diesel engine diagnostics, shocks & struts replacement, air brake systems, etc Upsell additional services or products that benefit the customer's vehicle performance and safety while maintaining transparency Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and vehicle histories Foster strong customer relationships through excellent communication and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and repeat business Skills Dealership experience or automotive service administrative background Mechanical knowledge preferred but not required Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues in an understandable manner Ability to sell services tactfully while prioritizing customer needs Knowledge of automotive repair procedures preferred but not required Experience with cash handling and sales processes within an automotive environment Familiarity with automotive repair specialties such as diesel engines or advanced diagnostics is a plus Join our team where your automotive expertise meets your passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences!
