The Member Solutions Consultant functions as a part of a larger team dedicated to helping members pursue their long-term financial goals. Under the direction of the Vice President the Operations Representative is responsible for processing day-to-day clerical activities ensuring a high level of quality service. The Member Solutions Consultant answers member questions, researches and resolves member issues and discrepancies, and processes work in an accurate and timely manner. Handles all member transactions with complete discretion and confidentiality.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Plastic Cards Monitors fraud activity reports and reviews member's accounts for suspicious activity for debit, ATM and Credit Cards Responsible for all fraud claims for debit Visa charge backs on fraudulent activity and monitoring and PSCU chargebacks and fraudulent activity and processing credit card fraud close out packages Researches all plastic card disputes including those initiated by other financial institutions. Prepares documents to be processed for disputed items and consults with Fiserv EFT concerning specific charge back issues Processes EFT affidavits within the regulatory time frames and requirements Ensures credit union is in compliance with Regulation E and sends correspondence to members concerning final disposition for provisional credit. Responsible for ordering all Debit / ATM Cards. Reviews monthly card reissue reports for ALL plastic cards for accuracy. Back up in processing daily payments to accountholders via the VISACC Batch System. MSR Responsibilities Assists the Operations Vice President in documenting department procedures. Process payroll deposit and makes payroll changes in a timely manner. Processes exceptions and return files for Share drafts and Bill Payer, including fees and notices. Daily processing of Mobile Deposit Remote Deposit Capture Completes collection efforts/charge off processing for fraud items and deposit related losses. Processes Returned Deposited items, including collection efforts where necessary. Monitors negative account balances and takes steps necessary to collect funds. Reports all deposit losses to Efunds/Chexsystems. Completes forms for member requested wire transfer requests following credit union policies and procedures. Processes maintenance requests for member information changes, product and/or service registration/terminations Process Return Mail and files new and closed signature cards and performs timely quality control on account changes, new accounts, and new loans Assists in executing department projects Attends training sessions upon request Adheres to the anti-money laundering policy and the Bank Secrecy laws. Assumes other duties as new products, services, or technology are introduced Answering Telephones, responds to member requests and performs transactions as needed Opens new Certificate of Deposit accounts and monitors renewals Opens new IRA accounts and manages disbursements and reporting through Ascensus Opens all other deposit products and promotes credit union loans and services to members Conducts research on members' accounts concerning Share Account, Debit and Visa Card issues Conducts research and file maintenance on all accounts for member's and obtains statements copies when necessary Performs quality control review of new accounts making sure all accounts are opened with correct codes and spelling Lending Tracks insurance policies for all collateralized loans including mortgages and home equity loans and follows through on obtaining policies seeks supervisory assistance for nonroutine exceptions Assists members with completing loan applications for consumer loans and Real Estate Loans Performs research on member's accounts for all loan products Monitors loan delinquencies to ensure payments are up to date. Attempt to recover payment from other accounts and sends out delinquent noticesOther Duties and Responsibilities:

Works cooperatively with other team members, involves others, shares information as appropriate, and shares credit for team accomplishments A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, high commitment to confidentiality, strong interpersonal skills, and high integrity are necessary Displays a high level of effort and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve Capable of handling routine tasks quickly and accurately with a very strong attention to detail Must possess a high level of initiative and commitment to client service, including the ability to provide a high standard of service to clients through a friendly communication style and professional demeanor Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task with attention to detail Ability to report back in an efficient, systematic, and timely manner to other staff/management on tasks completed, and next steps required Ability to analyze, collect, and communicate complex information Ability to work in a deadline driven environment Qualifications 5+ years of similar or related experience Credit Union experience required Strong technical skills including excel and word processing software HS Diploma and completion of specialized courses at a business or school Excellent interpersonal skills, including trust, courtesy and respect for others Self-motivated and independent with the ability to prioritize and manage workload Excellent communication skills with ability to respond in timely manner to member requests Must be a team player and always promote a team spirit attitude In the event of an emergency, the employee holding this position is required to "report to duty" in accordance with theCredit Union's Disaster Recovery Policy Pay:
