Your expertise will drive the creation of original sketches, detailed technical drawings, and prototypes, transforming artistic concepts into wearable art. Duties Develop original fashion concepts through detailed sketches, illustrations, and mood boards using graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Create technical drawings and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models to communicate design specifications clearly for production. Select appropriate textiles and fabrics, considering their industrial properties, durability, color theory, and aesthetic appeal for each collection. Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, merchandising, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs align with production capabilities and market needs. Develop prototypes by sewing garments or using 3D modeling software to visualize final products accurately. Conduct trend research and analyze market data to inform design direction and ensure relevance in a competitive landscape. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through garment construction, fitting, merchandising, and final presentation. Experience Proven experience in fashion design with a strong portfolio showcasing original artwork, illustrations, and completed collections. Proficiency in graphic design illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other graphic design software. Skilled in CAD programs specific to fashion design as well as 3D modeling software for realistic product visualization. Knowledge of textiles used in industrial design including fabric properties, textile sourcing, and sustainable materials. Hands-on experience with garment construction techniques including sewing machine operation and sewing skills. Familiarity with fashion styling principles, merchandising strategies, and product lifecycle management processes. Artistic concept development skills complemented by a keen eye for color theory, vector illustration, and visual storytelling. Ability to communicate effectively across teams with strong cross-functional communication skills; experience working in theater or costume design is a plus for creative versatility.
