Teaching Full Job Description Dance Instructor Duties:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate dance curriculum for various skill levels, including preschool, children, teenagers, and adults.
  • Plan and conduct engaging dance lessons that incorporate various dance styles such as ballet, theater, and contemporary.
  • Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students to help them improve their dance techniques and performance skills.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity, self-expression, and teamwork.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively and ensure the safety of all students during dance lessons.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to organize recitals, performances, and other dance-related events.
  • Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of dance education.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Dance or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching dance to students of different age groups is required.
  • Knowledge of childhood development and behavior management techniques.
  • Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff members.
