9687708-19082 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity to support 7th-grade students in mathematics through a full-time, onsite contract role at a dynamic middle school. This role welcomes passionate educators who bring classroom expertise, proactive classroom management, and a genuine drive to make a difference in an urban educational environment. With a 35-hour workweek running from now until June 10, 2027, you'll guide students through engaging math curricula aligned with state and district standards.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active and valid teaching certification or licensure suitable for the described caseload Bachelors degree (required for emergency teaching permit consideration) Demonstrated expertise in teaching mathematics at the middle school level Solid classroom and behavior management skills At least one year of previous experience working in a school setting Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of urban education Reliable transportation for daily attendance Ability to obtain Pennsylvania clearances Comfortable following a fixed work schedule (8:00 AM 3:15 PM, no schedule accommodations) Willingness to participate in a Zoom-based interview process
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver effective, differentiated math instruction to 7th-grade students Develop and implement lesson plans that align with current state and district standards Use formative assessments to adjust instruction and maximize student understanding Actively engage students in learning and create a positive classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues, participate in ongoing professional development, and work closely with families to support student growth Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school and state educational requirements Take the next step in your teaching journey by positively influencing young minds in a community-centered school.
