Full Time:
Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift (8:30-5:30)

We provide a community centric, year around play-based child care program allowing children to create without limits, explore their interest and individuality, discover the power of choice and imagine the possibilities of the world around them.
Lead Teacher Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for directing, training and mentoring Teachers, Assistant Teachers & Aides. Create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate the social, physical, cognitive and cultural needs of the children in care. Rotation of interest area materials, wall hangings, boards, etc to meet ITERS/ECERS, Preschool Learning Foundations and Weekly Lesson Plan curriculum. Ensure all interest areas are open and available to children during Free Exploration. Activities are prepared, organized and implemented to facilitate learning experiences. Documentation and feedback regarding children's behaviors and action plans. All action plans created in conjunction with Director are being followed by as written. Bring developmental, behavior or academic concerns about a child to the Director. Responsible for daily operations of program including review of Accident/Incident/Illness reports are completed properly, daily schedules and teachers schedules and Team Member Training Expectations are being followed to the highest standard. Coordinate and communicate to other team members, if teacher is required for teacher to child and if not needed have them report to shift manager. Completeness of Class Roster and regular head counts. All Teacher Duties and Responsibilities as outlined including cleaning and preparing classroom. Carries out the mission, vision and values of the child care program. Maintains an open, friendly and cooperative relationship with each child, their families and other team members. The ability to bend, stoop and lift children up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 12 Completed Units of coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) including 3 units completed in infant specific class and 6 months of experience working in a licensed child care facility with children under the age of 5. 3-5 years of Lead Preschool Teacher experience preferred. AA/BA degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Understanding of
ITERS/ECERS
is preferred. California Teaching Pyramid Framework or comparable training is preferred. DRDP-R and/or California Curriculum Foundations/Framework is preferred.
Other Requirements:
Proof of MMR, Tdap, COVID and flu shot (optional) Immunizations. Background check clearance (LiveScan) on file with Community Care Licensing or ability to obtain clearance. Ability to provide the Health Screening Report with TB testing from a Physician prior to employment.
