Key Qualifications:

Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification Experience working with children or adolescents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Strong knowledge of strategies, tools, and technologies for Deaf/HOH education Collaborative approach to working with district staff, students, and families Excellent communication and advocacy skills

What You'll Do:

Provide specialized instruction and support services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Collaborate closely with the district's full-time Teacher of the Deaf to cover a diverse caseload Consult with the district to set your preferred age group(s) or school(s), tailoring your impact to your expertise Participate in IEP meetings and help develop individualized education plans Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress Assist with implementation of assistive listening devices and accommodations as needed
