9687133-55303 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students K-12 as an ASL interpreter working within a collaborative school environment. Key Qualifications:

Current certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)such as RID-NIC or NAD IV/Vor a score of 4.0 or higher on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), plus successful completion of the EIPA written exam Proficiency in American Sign Language and demonstrated ability to interpret in educational settings (K-12 experience preferred) Professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to ethical interpreting standards Experience collaborating with teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and general education staff is a plus Ability to work exclusively on-site (remote or virtual arrangements are not available)

Primary Responsibilities:

Interpret classroom instruction, student interactions, and school activities for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Facilitate communication between students, peers, and school staff using ASL and other appropriate communication modes Support IEP teams and participate in meetings when required Maintain confidentiality and adapt interpreting style to fit various educational contexts and student needs Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment conducive to learning This is a full-time, 35-hour per week position set in a school community dedicated to inclusivity and student success.
