Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in special education to a supportive and collaborative school environment in the Hopkins, MN area! Multiple openings are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to serve a diverse student population across several school sites, including early childhood through high school and transition programming. This full-time contract position offers engaging work in general and specialized settings, with an immediate start date and a commitment extending through the 2026-2027 academic year.
Qualifications:
Current and active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License required ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsement strongly preferred for the Transition Center position Previous school-based teaching experience is highly desirable Strong communication and collaboration skills Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and support based on IEP goals and student needs Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to enable student success at all levels (ECSE, elementary, middle, high school, and transition programs) Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create comprehensive educational plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation on student progress, behavior, and IEP compliance Foster a positive, engaging classroom culture that celebrates diversity and growth This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills across multiple sites within a well-regarded district, including early childhood special education and specialized transition programs.
