Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference every day by supporting students in a highly collaborative educational environment. Multiple full-time Educational Support Professional positions are available for the 2024-2027 school years, working throughout the district in a variety of roles such as 1:1 support, center-based programs, and resource classrooms. Enjoy a dynamic contract opportunity starting as soon as possible and extending through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
State paraprofessional certification or ability to meet state requirements. Classroom experience with K-12 students, ideally in specialized, resource, or 1:1 support settings. Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to deliver individualized support. Strong communication, patience, empathy, and organizational skills. A commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Offer direct support to students in general education or special education settings, tailored to individual needs. Assist students academically, socially, and physically, encouraging skill development and independence. Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the direction of classroom teachers and special education staff. Support and reinforce classroom routines and behavioral expectations. Maintain a positive, safe, and productive classroom climate. Aid in adapting instructional materials and activities to suit student needs.
