Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Take your passion for helping students thrive to the next level by making an impact as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant educational community. Multiple openings are available for both full-time and part-time positions, including a 0.5 FTE high school role, at various sites across early childhood, elementary, middle, high school, and transition programs. Start as soon as possible and contribute meaningfully through the end of the 2026-2027 school year. Your unique talents will support students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative and resource-rich environment. The role provides opportunities to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and to grow as an educator while changing lives.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (active and in good standing) ASD endorsement highly preferred for assignment at the Transition Center Prior school-based experience is preferred and will set you up for success Exceptional communication skills and ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families Strong organizational skills and commitment to individualized instruction
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with special needs in alignment with their IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers, support personnel, and families to promote student growth Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and progress monitoring Create an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment Adapt lesson plans and teaching methodologies to meet the unique needs of each student By joining this dedicated special education team, you will play an essential role in empowering students across various stages of their educational journey.
