9586618-97361 Job Description Special Education Teachers passionate about supporting diverse learners will thrive in this rewarding, onsite contract opportunity beginning September 9, 2026, and ending June 26, 2027. Located near Monmouth, OR, these full-time positions (37.5 hours/week) offer a chance to work with students across K-12 in settings tailored to your expertise and interestswhether thats elementary, middle, or specialized behavioral programs.
Available assignments include:
Middle school life skills: 12 students, 4 instructional assistants, blending behavioral and academic support needs. Elementary K-2 developmental: 16 students, 5 instructional assistants, focused on foundational skills, routines, and communication, including children who are non-verbal. Intensive behavioral health elementary (grades 3-5): Two openings, each classroom supporting 13 students with 4 instructional assistants, specializing in behavior management.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment, adapting curriculum to meet a wide range of academic and behavioral needs. Collaborate closely with instructional assistants and related service providers. Employ progress monitoring to adjust instructional strategies and communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain compliance with documentation and participate in IEP meetings.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification/licensure for OR, or eligibility. Experience designing and delivering instruction for students with varying disabilities. Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills. Demonstrated ability to lead classrooms focusing on academic, behavioral, or functional skills.
