Key Qualifications:

Must hold BOTH Special Education and Early Childhood degree certifications (for

EC PCD Teacher:

ages 3-4). SPED Multi-Categorical endorsement required (for ID Mild/Moderate Self-Contained K-3). Current, active South Carolina Teaching License. Previous experience in a special education setting, especially with early learners, highly valued. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, creative instruction to preschool and/or elementary students with a variety of learning needs. Adapt lessons to encourage engagement and individual progress across cognitive, emotional, and social domains. Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom. Track and document student progress, maintaining thorough and confidential records. Participate fully in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing staff development. Provide individualized and small-group interventions as needed to maximize student achievement.
