Job Description

Make a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite throughout the school year, ensuring consistent support and growth for students. You'll join an inclusive team dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment and adapting instruction to individual strengths and needs.
Key Qualifications:
Active Washington State Special Education Teacher certification (required) Experience with elementary-aged students and various disabilities Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit Ability to maintain accurate records and develop individualized education plans Commitment to creating a safe, encouraging, and accommodating classroom
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to students with a wide range of abilities and disabilities in an elementary setting Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's goals and abilities Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to best support student success Assess student progress and modify instructional methods as needed Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages growth and participation Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement This contract position offers a reliable schedule, working Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day, allowing you to build strong relationships with students and staff. The assignment runs through June 2027, providing stability and the chance to see tangible progress in the lives of your students.
