Job Description

In this rewarding contract opportunity, you will play a vital role supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs throughout the school year, with service needed as soon as possible through June 11, 2027. Working on-site, you will collaborate with a collaborative team to deliver individualized support in special education, ensuring each child reaches their highest potential in an inclusive setting.
Key Requirements and Desired Experience:
Hold valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher. Demonstrated experience teaching students with various disabilities at the elementary level. Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with a 7.5-hour workday. Strong collaboration skills, ready to partner with general education teachers and support staff. Flexible approach to instruction, adapting lesson plans and IEPs based on each students needs. Excellent communication and rapport-building abilities with students, families, and colleagues.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to a range of disabilities. Provide direct instruction and academic support to elementary-aged students in a classroom setting. Track student progress, update records, and communicate results to families and school teams. Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students. Work closely with related service providers to address all areas of student development. This is a full-time, onsite contract role offering the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of students and families.
