Job Summary Under direct supervision, provides routine assistance to classroom teacher or preschool/child care teachers by working with students on an individual or group basis in classroom activities. Typical duties will include, but are not limited to, explaining work assignments and administering remedial drill work and tests, monitoring classroom during tests, study periods and emergency absence of teacher, grading tests and homework, supervising students on field trips, assisting in housekeeping and/or child care activities and in daily physical, nutrition and dental routines. Must posses the ability to assist in instructing, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate. Other duties will include correcting papers, recording information on student records, preparing bulletin board displays, requisitioning supplies and the performance of a variety of routine clerical tasks requiring typing skills. Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
