Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Part Time Assistant from 2:00pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday! In this vital role, you will support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young learners. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about child development, education, and caregiving to gain hands-on experience in a preschool or daycare setting. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and eager to make a positive impact on children's lives through active participation and dedicated support. Duties Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, including lesson implementation and materials preparation Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement Support children's social-emotional development through positive interaction and behavior management techniques Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety standards Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily experiences Support special education needs by implementing individualized plans under supervision Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child welfare or safety Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool, daycare, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire Familiarity with special education strategies and behavior management techniques Ability to work well in a team environment while demonstrating strong communication skills Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Must be dependable, energetic, patient, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment Join us as a Part Time Assistant and help shape the future of young learners!
