Electrical Panel Builder /
Wiring Technician Location:
Benicia, CA Pay:
$25-$35/hr (based on experience)
Schedule:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (with appropriate meal break)
Assignment Length:
8 weeks About the Role We're seeking an experienced Electrical Panel Builder / Wiring Technician to support an 8‑week project building industrial control panels and electro‑mechanical assemblies. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who takes pride in clean wiring, accurate builds, and high‑quality craftsmanship. You'll work alongside a skilled team assembling control panels, wiring per schematics, and supporting automation‑related builds in a fast‑paced shop environment. What You'll Do Build and wire industrial control panels using electrical schematics Install components such as DIN rail, terminal blocks, relays, power supplies , and breakers Route, label, and terminate wires to create clean, organized layouts Perform cutouts on enclosures using hand and power tools Assemble and plumb basic pneumatic systems Assist with troubleshooting and debug activities Support shop tasks including shipping, receiving, and general upkeep Follow all safety and quality procedures throughout the build process What We're Looking For Hands‑on panel building experience (required) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and electrical assembly equipment Experience wiring control panels or electro‑mechanical systems Knowledge of industrial automation components is a plus Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, high‑quality work Preferred Experience Familiarity with UL508A standards Experience with PLC hardware (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.) Ability to read pneumatic schematics Mechanical fabrication skills (drilling, tapping, cutting) Why This Project Hands‑on work with automation and control systems Non‑repetitive, project‑based tasks Opportunity to work closely with engineers and technicians Great environment for sharpening panel‑building and wiring skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Benicia, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
