Structural Welding Code requirements and company quality standards, with hands on oversight of cutting, punching, shearing, stamping, notching, welding, and painting operations. Welding operations utilize a GMAW Spray Transfer process. Schedule Full time, four day work week (10 hour shifts, Monday to Thursday), Second Shift, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM. Compensation $35 to $40 per hour, depending on experience. What You'll Do The Welding Inspector conducts daily floor and weld inspections, including part fit up, visual inspection, and review of WPS's and PQR's, and performs welder certification testing per AWS D1.1, including minor destructive testing. This role prepares and maintains Welder Qualification Records (WQRs), PQRs, WPSs, and inspection records, monitors welder qualifications, and maintains controlled processes, procedures, and specifications. The Welding Inspector also verifies welding equipment functionality and documentation daily, interprets fabrication drawings for use in inspection activities, and supports and maintains the facility's Quality Assurance Manual.
